Hold My Hand

Hold My Hand

With a little love, and some tenderness
We’ll walk upon the water
We’ll rise above this mess
With a little peace, and some harmony
We’ll take the world together
We’ll take em by the hand

On this day, I pray:

* That *our* vacation leave in December (and January) gets approved already (I have to pay about a hundred thousand yen by 11/13 you see).

* That my throat will stop being so problematic.

* That I will sleep well soon (that means no more scenes from Suicide Club in my head in the middle of the night).

* That Skins will soon air (haha, I don’t even know if they’re done filming, probably not yet).

* That people will stop attacking me in Castle Age. (-_-#)

* That Meemax remembers this THING for me \(^_^)/.

* That the nice things in my life right now will never ever end.

Lazy Sunday

In a desperate attempt to breathe life back into this blog, I must publish the following nonsense:

* It’s really annoying, how I manage to get up at eleven in the morning during the weekend no matter how late I slept the previous night. I used to be able to sleep up to 3pm. Is this what growing older’s about?

* The Yokohama Oktoberfest was a blast. Too bad we got there like 8 frikking 15 and the whole thing will close at 9pm. What on earth are you doing hosting an Oktoberfest that closes at 9pm?!

* So, see I got myself a new theme. And it was just because I was almost bored to tears so the most logical step would be to redesign the site’s appearance yet again.

* I wanna go somewhere and snap photos because srsly, I haven’t gone to anywhere since I came back from the Singapore – Thailand trip and I seriously need to put updates on my Flickr stream that doesn’t involve me. Maybe Hakone in November? All those pretty pretty colors — man, they just kill me, every frikkin’ year.

* I wonder, will I be able to see the 12-24mm Tokina that I bought tomorrow? *Makes parinig at Meemax and Moogs* :P

* You are a believer, I am not — Susanna and the Magical Orchestra, Believer.

Didn’t think you would trust me.
Thought you would see what I see.
This days have been good for me too,
But I can’t stay.
You know why.
Didn’t want this to end like this.
Thought I might could convert.
These nights have been sad for me too,
But I don’t pray.
You know why.

You are a believer,
I am not.

Didn’t think I could ever love,
So I had to destroy it all.
But you will do find someone new,
When I am gone.
You know why.

You are a believer,
I am not.

Oh Lordy, This Is How I Want To Die

a_dark_starry_night_wallpap

The town does not exist
except where one black-haired tree slips
up like a drowned woman into the hot sky.
The town is silent. The night boils with eleven stars.
Oh starry night! This is how
I want to die.

It moves. They are all alive.
Even the moon bulges in its orange irons
to push children, like a god, from its eye.
The old unseen serpent swallows up the stars.
Oh starry night! This is how
I want to die:

into that rushing beast of the night,
sucked up by that great dragon, to split
from my life with no flag,
no belly,
no cry.

- Anne Sexton. ”The Starry Night”. All My Pretty Ones Part 1, 1962.

I’m a Battleship

you’re a direct hit and I’m sinking.

I haven’t been writing in a while. I can blame work (as usual) or just my general laziness (once again, as usual) or maybe it’s just that I don’t have much to angst about these days (naks, peaceful) or maybe I have a lot of things to say but just can’t get it all out (most likely).

But anyway, I found this awesome song while searching for LSS replacements to Halo (c/o Glee). I kinda remember that Juno song by the Moldy Peaches when I heard this one.

Anyway, check out the lyrics, I guess this song just says it all.

Music and words by Pocketbooks.

Kiss me in the autumn at the station by the drycleaners and the fellas selling travelcards
Hold my hands and tell me that The Fall will never leave me and The Actionnettes won’t break my heart
Write my name in marker pen across the local bus stop and I’ll steal you all the books you love
Call the local paper and pretend we’re getting married and I’ll borrow you my library card

You’re the blindfold round my eyes
You’re my navigation satellite
I’m a tightrope walker looking down on the sights

I don’t know what happened with your sister and her mother, but I don’t think they’re impressed with me
I don’t think they like what I’ve been doing with my life, but can’t they see it’s only temporary?
I can’t help but worry that your friend thinks I’m a daydreamer with aspirations quite naive
The only things worth chasing are the things that are creative, and I’m not talking accountancy

You’re a red hotel on Mayfair
A superlative on a triple word score
I’m a battleship, you’re a direct hit and I’m sinking

And like falling leaves in autumn you can sweep me up or pass me by
Like falling snow against your skin, or the cigarettes I can’t pack in
And falling in with you is like a Class A drug they couldn’t ban
The photograph that makes you smile and sends a shiver down your spine
Gravity’s got me falling indefinitely

I don’t think it matters my career path’s in tatters, I could always take a course or two
Tell me what you’re thinking, maybe when I’ve finished singing, I suppose this is a family tune
I think I’m addicted, I get panicked when you’re missing, I need patches when you’re not around
I have conversations in my head that you’re not party to, you should have heard the things you said!

Like an etching on my brain
Like a letter tacked on my DNA
I’m a chip pan fire, you’re the water that won’t stay away

And like falling leaves in autumn you can sweep me up or pass me by
Like falling snow against your skin, or the cigarettes I can’t pack in
You’re the blindfold round my eyes
You’re my navigation satellite
And just falling in with you is like a Class A drug they couldn’t ban
The photograph that makes you smile and sends a shiver down your spine
Gravity’s got me falling indefinitely

Tell me if it ever ends you’ll let me have my heart back in a single piece
You’re the one I call after closing time
The night bus spins to the spellbinding sound of your voice…
